One glass of turmeric is as good as running for one hour

Turmeric is an extraordinary species with a myriad of medicinal properties, which have been used for millennia. It has been found to combat some types of cancer, increases memory and fights bacteria and inflammation.

However, a recent study found that it can actually be even more effective than physical exercise to improve heart health. Namely, a study published by the American Journal of Cardiology, turmeric extract can effectively reduce the risk of heart attack by up to 56%.

In addition, another study has revealed that consumption of turmeric or the use of supplements give effects similar to those of aerobic exercise in terms of improving cardiovascular health.

Researchers have found that a pinch of turmeric is as effective as 1 hour of jogging or walking quickly in the cardiovascular system. The main culprit of the powerful medicinal qualities of turmeric is its active ingredient, curcumin.
